so we went out this afternoon for a photo shoot. i picked out the girls clothes while they were napping and got myself ready. and the four of us headed to the campus of belmont abbey for some pictures. the house is a wreck, emmi was hungry (she is ALWAYS hungry), and chloe wanted to sleep all afternoon...but i said "NO, we are going to make some memories." -- and we did.
the latest news here is that we have a new addition...another 3 year old. he turned 3 on october 15 and he is potty trained (except that he needs to be neutered and therefore he likes to mark things if he is bored). oreo joined us about 2 weeks ago. for those of you who may not know, we had another dog, major, that had joined us in august. he was also a boston terrier, but was found as a stray. he was a great dog, except it was obvious he had come from an abusive situation (that not only abused him, but children too). he was WONDERFUL with the girls but about a month ago he attacked me when i unknowingly stepped into his chase of a cat. needless to say we had to get rid of him...BUT he has a new home & he is doing well. now enter oreo. he is MUCH more full of life and very puppy-like. he makes us laugh b/c he likes strange things. for example, the girls have a construction-type hat (i think it is like bob the builder or something) and oreo will play with it for hours and even tries to get if off their heads! he also lOVES the bathtub...and loves to take a bath. we have to babygate him out in the living room during bath time or he will get in the tub with the girls -- and the whines/cries VERY LOUDLY to get back in once i've lifted him out. it is funny. two days after we had to get rid of major (which broke our hearts) a neighbor was walking oreo and stopped to talk to us. ironically enough she only lives one street over, yet we had never seen her before ever. as we talked, she said she was looking for a home for oreo b/c her & her husband were not home enough to give him the attention he needs...and long story short...oreo is now part of our family!
