FIrst Snow

This is really the first time the girls have seen snow. I do remember a dusting a few years ago, but they were so young they don't remember it. Although Charlotte has had 2 other snow days this year, this is the first time we have gotten any of it. In fact, i think we got the bulk of it this time...i measured and we have 6".

Needless to say, the excitement was over the top, and we were getting dressed at 6:45am and outside by 7am. A few issues...the girls don't have gloves, chloe no snow boots, me no snow boots, and none of us have snow gear. but we braved the cold, wet snow anyway. they had a blast. we put socks on their hands! we were out for about an hour. until they were soaked and freezing. of course within 15 minutes of being inside and getting warm, they wanted to go back out (the answer was NO, not right now!).

Note that am uploading a picture of myself sledding w/ emmi. Please keep in mind it was 7am and i have no snow clothes. i look awful! but i have to show that i did join in the fun. :0)

You will notice that the smallest member of the family, aka orry, is NOT a fan of the snow. He would not get off the driveway under the carport. i had to carry him inside!

Now to entertain them inside all day. THAT is the challenge.
