We have some dear friends that have a pool, and they allow us to go swimming. What a HUGE blessing this is to me in the summertime because it is the most perfect way to wear out two gals that otherwise keep going & going. We have been coming swimming here since the girls were 18 months & 14 months. It has been neat to watch them progress each year...especially Chloe (it used to take her 45+ minutes just to get her feet in the water!). We went from using floaties all the time and jumping in to me, to jumping in on their own, to now jumping in the deep end, doing hand stands and flips. However, one thing has remained the same each year -- I promise, this thing hasn't changed. Year after year, we pull in the driveway, get out and take our stuff to the picnic table and then I immediately see this:
What are they doing, you ask? Looking at this...
checking for frogs...in the filter! It is the highlight of the day. Once they have analyzed the frogs/bugs, asked 30-40 questions about the individual frogs/bugs, and then asked me to come look at the frogs/bugs...then they finally decide to do this:
And they have a blast! My girls love the pool.
What's even more funny is they continue to check for frogs periodically throughout the time we are there!
**Please note these pictures were taken last summer. That is why they look so young :0) I simply never got this post up. But they still run and check for frogs upon our arrival.
