Nothing Surprises Us Anymore.

Just a few weeks ago, Emmi came running in with excitement wanting me and David to come outside to see some great thing they were doing. She was bursting with smiles and could barely wait as we made our way to the backdoor. Once she saw that we were coming, she took off like lightning to join Chloe in this new trick. Upon opening the back door, this is what we saw...

Yep. You are seeing correctly. They pulled an old door out of David's junk pile and used it to climb on top of the shed. David nor I even blinked. This has become the norm around here. They climb. They climb big. Why should we be surprised that they are on the roof of the shed? This has been their thing from a very young age. Remember this and this and this? It is only fitting. And the roof of the shed has continued to be their "hideout" for weeks. They play out there for hours. Climbing up and down. Hanging out. Taking food up and down in a basket. Most recently Emmi nailed one end of the swing to the top of the shed so she could hang from it. Crazy, I know, but it is just what is in them...and so we sit back and watch in amazement and grab the camera.

Are these girls in gymnastics? Clearly they should be in training for something for the fearless. Maybe they will be trapeze artists!
Merry Christmas!
