We are at our gate waiting to board our flight to Taipei. I wanted to post pictures of us and our travels so far, but i can't find an internet kiosk with a laptop port in this terminal. so pictures will have to wait until we get to Taipei.
We were successful in getting a camera card for my camera. David and i took a cab to office depot in LA. Our taxi driver was Chung, from Korea. His driving was terrible and made me car sick. at office depot david was paying with a travelers check so he could get some american cash. the clerk asked for id. david gave him his drivers license...and the clerk said, do you have a current one? Much to our surprise, David's license expired in March!! Thank goodness the manager had mercy on us and let us pay with it anyway. His passport will be enough to get around out of the country, but what a way to find out your driver's license is no good. we didn't receive the notice in the mail...
we are stocked up on water and food for the 14.5 hour flight. and we have already changed over some money so we have New Taiwan Dollars to pay for our cab ride to the hotel once we get to Taipei. i am so sleepy. i hope i can sleep on the plane at least part of the time.
